The Virgin Islands is one of the most enjoyable sailing areas in the world. Enjoy the beauty of the VI, the island people and the outstanding sailing. The weather can only be described as “Magnificent”.
Please be courteous and do not cause damage to the coral reefs. Most important of all, HAVE FUN!
This web site is dedicated to sailors who would like to experience the Virgin Islands onboard a bareboat charter sailing vessel. Sorry power boaters; however, most of the information will be helpful to all sailors. Some of the charter companies, like VIP Yacht Charters, cater to sail and power boaters.
I hope that you use this information wisely. It is intended to be of some small help to get you started on your adventure to the “Islands”.
Do not rely on the copies of charts and GPS coordinates for navigation.
Have you ever: 1. Seen an island in the moonlight? 2. Know what happened to the Captain and the Kid? 3. Searched for a lost shaker of salt? 4. Had a pencil thin mustache? 5. Seen the lights of St. Thomas in the distance 20 miles west? 6. Have you ever had a boat drink?
Do you have any idea of what I am talking about? If not, then you are over stressed. You are in serious need of audio sensory therapy and a trip to the islands! Check out “Audio Sensory Therapy” under “Important Random Stuff”. |
