Sailing Resume |
Your sailing/boating resume should include a good history of the size and type of boats that you have operated. It should also include a list of all boating safety classes, Power Squadron classes, sailing instructions and any other boating classes that you have attended.
Make a special note of any bareboat charters where you were the contracted for the charter and also any charters were you were listed as skipper.
This information will be used by the charter company to determine what size boat that they feel you are qualified to handle.
Make sure to include information on your experience in anchoring, mooring and docking boats. Power boat experience is also helpful since the boat checkout session will be focused on boat handling under power. |

Cruz Bay, St. John, USVI is a busy port and it can get hectic. You may have a difficult time finding enough room to anchor for the day. This is a good place to clear customs into the US. |
